Some of our Tripadvisor reviews:
The place to be ...
“Amazing food friendly staff and fantastic landlords, just what a village pub should be, dog friendly, kids are welcome, beautiful B&B if you want to stay in a gorgeous village, fantastic for families , couples, or on your own. booking is advisable as so popular.”
“Had a lovely roast dinner with homemade roasties that were perfect. We had the roast lamb and it came with loads of lamb and gravy. For pudding we had the white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake with ice cream and the lemon meringue pie with clotted cream. Would definitely recommend a Sunday dinner here. The staff are so welcoming and friendly also. Really made our anniversary meal one to remember.”
“Great food friendly staff at down to earth prices, children friendly, your typical local village pub.”
Large group meal coped with easily
“Our local shoot had our end of season meal in the Castle Inn, last week. The staff were lovely and managed to cope with our group of around thirty with ease. The menu offers a large choice, plus specials. We enjoyed our meal immensely, in warm and cosy surroundings”.
One not to miss!
“Been twice recently and both times food was hot, plentiful, freshly prepared and tasty. Very friendly staff, and good service. They were happy to do a half/ child portion when we asked for a smaller meal as there is no children's menu. Very happy, will be back.”
A real gem, Coeliac friendly with superb & extensive menu
“We dined from their extensive, home cooked menu and couldn't fault any of the choices we made, as a Coeliac sufferer I usually find my menu choices are very limited, not so the case at The Castle Inn, The en-suite guest room we had the pleasure of using was fabulous, extremely comfortable bed, so a great night's sleep was had, nice touch of tea, coffee & biscuits were also very welcome next morning. Immaculately clean & airy room, with plenty of clothes hanging space in the exquisitely furnished rooms for those wishing to have a longer stay, if we'd had the time we'd definitely have had a few more days there. All in all, we would highly recommend The Castle Inn whether all you're looking for is a quick drink, or a leisurely meal in a wonderful relaxing setting or combining both with a beautiful room to enjoy the whole experience.”
